Patient InformationDr. Kinney and his team believe in total preventive care for our patients. This begins with a comprehensive exam and hygiene visit, and continues with regular dental checkups, hygiene visits and oral health routines at home. Our practice provides the highest-quality dental services for common problems that require cosmetic dentistry and for restoring mouths that have been damaged by dental disease and injury. Our primary goal is for our patients to achieve and maintain optimum oral health through advances in techniques, technologies and by maintaining their scheduled dental exams. Office HoursWe are open to answer questions or schedule an appointment
during the following hours: Appointments are available Monday through Friday: Should an emergency arise when our office is closed, our emergency answering service may be reached by calling our office. Your Initial Visit The initial appointment (except in cases of emergency) is spent conducting a thorough examination. This includes a complete health and dental history, a visual examination of the mouth tissues and teeth, and the necessary x-rays and photographs. Children of approximately 16 years and under will have their teeth cleaned and a fluoride application. From our study of the x-rays and clinical findings, we will diagnose your case. We will discuss the conditions present in your mouth and recommend proper treatment. Fees for the recommended services are outlined and financial options are discussed. We will then arrange your future appointments so that your dentistry can be completed efficiently and in a timely manner. Your Child's Dental Visit
This will also help you understand your child’s description of the experience. Our intention is not to “fool” your child—it is to create an experience that is positive. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us to provide a positive dental experience for your child. AppointmentsYour scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. We request 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment. A fee may be charged for missed or short-notice cancellations. PaymentUnless a prior payment arrangement has been made, if you do not have dental insurance, your payment is due in full the day the services are rendered. Payments can be made by cash, check, Visa, Mastercard or Discover. For extensive treatment plans, we do offer financing options through Healthcare Finance by Capital One. We offer a 5% cash/check discount on major treatment plans when payment is made in full at the time of service. InsuranceOur office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary greatly, we can only estimate your coverage and cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. Your estimated patient portion must be paid at the time of service. As a service to our patients, we will bill insurance companies for the services provided to you. A patient is responsible for payment regardless of the status of the claim. We cannot accept responsibility for negotiating claims with insurance companies or other persons. After 60 days, you are responsible for the entire balance, paid in full. We bill all insurance companies including Washington Dental Service, Delta Dental, MetLife, Aetna, Principal Mutual, Cigna, Regence, Blue Cross, Jefferson Pilot, Premera, Guardian, Principal, Tricare, Operating Engineers and the Standard. We are not a member dentist of any insurance programs. If you have any questions about our office policies, our courteous staff is always available to answer them. Questions regarding your specific dental insurance plan should be directed to Human Resources at your place of employment or your dental insurance company directly.
