Our Doctor and Staff
Dr. Bruce Kinney
Dr.
Bruce Kinney is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry.
He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in June of 1980. He continued
his training at the University of Washington School of Medicine Hospitals,
completing a one year dental residency program. He began his family dental
practice in Yakima in the fall of 1981.
Dr. Kinney practices dentistry for the entire family. He has a special interest in implant dentistry and prosthodontics (crowns, bridges and dentures). He is a past member and Chairman of the Washington State Dental Quality Assurance Commission. He is the immediate past President of the American Association of Dental Examiners. He remains active in the administration of dental licensing examinations throughout the country.
Dr. Kinney is a member and past President of the Yakima Valley Dental Society and the Yakima Prosthodontic Society. He is a member of the Washington State Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentistry (F.A.C.D.).
Dr. Kinney is active in the Yakima community, serving as a member of the board of directors of the Yakima Speech and Hearing Center. He has been active in Rotary International and served as Chairman of the District 5060 Youth Exchange program. He served on the board of directors of the Ellensburg National Art Show and the Western Art Association.
Dr. Kinney is married with two children. His interests include golf, fishing, flying, wine and travel.

Our staff is dedicated to providing the highest level of dental care to our patients. We have many years of skilled dental experience, providing quality care for the families of Yakima and the Yakima Valley.
| Darlene graduated from Yakima Valley Community College Dental Hygiene School in 1998. She is a member of the Washington State Dental Hygiene Association, affiliate member of the Washington Dental Association and board member of the Yakima Children’s Oral Health Foundation. She has been working with Dr. Kinney for seven years. | |
| Joan is a registered dental hygienist who has been with Dr. Kinney since 2002. She received her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Yakima Valley Community College. |  |
| Karen is a registered dental hygienist who has been working for Dr. Kinney for five years. She graduated from Yakima Valley Community College Dental Hygiene School in 2001. | |
| LaVaun graduated from Loma Linda University in California. She has been practicing dental hygiene for 17 years and joined Dr. Kinney’s team in 2003. | |
| Nicolai has practiced dental hygiene for the past 22 years. She has provided care in the traditional practice setting with Dr. Kinney for 18 years. She also has education and experience in serving special needs patients. She is past president of Washington State Dental Hygiene Association and served six years as a delegate to American Dental Hygiene Association. | |

Denise is an office administrator with 25 years dental experience both clinically and front office. She attended Kinman Business University’s dental assisting program, joining Dr. Kinney’s team in 2000. |
| Ashley is a junior attending Yakima Valley Community College studying Early Childhood Education. She has been with Dr. Kinney's Team since 2003. She is employed as a part-time office assistant. | |

| Marsha is a graduate of Washington State University and has enjoyed 19 years at the office of Dr. Bruce Kinney. She has been an office administrator as well as a chairside dental assistant. She is currently on medical leave. |
